Data Deletion

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you (the Data Principal) have the right to request erasure of the personal data we (the Data Fiduciary) hold about you, except where we are required to retain it to comply with applicable law. This page explains how to make that request and what happens when you do. It applies to all personal data collected across The Maison World — including Maison Nox, Maison Velours, the Maison Beauty Suite, La Maison Privée, Maia, and our presence on social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Send an email to info@themaisonworld.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", and include: • The name, email address, phone number, or social media handle associated with your data • If your request relates to our Facebook or Instagram pages, the profile name you used to interact with us • A brief note of what you would like deleted (everything, or a specific item) We may ask one or two questions to verify your identity before acting — this protects your data from being deleted by someone else.

Acknowledgement — we confirm receipt of your request within 7 working days. Completion — we delete the personal data we hold about you within 30 days, and notify you once it is done. Exceptions — we may retain limited information where the law requires it, for example transactional and tax records under the CGST Act and the Income-tax Act, or where retention is necessary to defend a legal claim. We will tell you if any such exception applies to your request.

When you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp, those platforms also hold data under their own policies. Deleting data from our records does not automatically remove it from Meta's systems. To remove data held by the platform itself, please also use the privacy and data controls within each app, or contact the platform directly.
